36. Benjamin M. POWERS was born in 1843 in Lunenburg County, Virginia.
Thomas Powers, noted in the 1820 Mecklenburg County census might be a son of Benjamin Powers.

Della C. POWERS (daughter of W.J. POWERS and Mary A. UNK) was born in Mecklenburg County, Virginia. Henry Powers (her father-in-law) left his entire estate to Della and children with his son, Benjamin, as agent and manager for Della. It seems likely these would be their children. Benjamin died soon after his father's death. Della remarried and the Powers' land apparnetly passed over to them (although William Henry already had his own land which may have come thru the help of his father). Henry's will is WB#14, page 295.
