109. Clarke Wilson POWERS was born on 16 Nov 1944 in Washington, DC.
Clarke graduated from the Municipal University of Omaha (now University of Nebraska at Omaha) in Jan 1967 and entered the air force through the Reserve Officer Training Corps at the University as a 2nd Lt. becoming a maintenance officer. He obtained a masters of science in Logistics Engineering in 1978 through the Air Force Institute of Technology, retiring in 1992.
He is active in the United Methodist Church as Chairman of the Finance Committee. He is also active in the city as Chairman of the Colorado Springs Citizens Finance Advisory Committee.
Currently, Clarke is a program manager at the MCI telecommunications in Colorado Springs

He was married to Shirley Ann MARTIN (daughter of Therman Otho MARTIN and Myrtle Jane CARTER) on 8 Jan 1977 in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas. Shirley Ann MARTIN was born on 1 Nov 1942 in Salt Lake City, UT.
Shirley Ann Martin attended a country school in Cold Springs, Oregon (near Hermiston) and later in Hermiston, graduating high school in May 1960. She attended Oregon State University 1960-1961 as a freshman, followed by a two year break working at Montgomery Ward, Portland, OR in the credit department for college tuition, one year at Harry Ritchie Jewelry, Eugene, OR and continued at University of Oregon graduating March 1967 with a BS in Elementary Education. School teacher in Springfield, Oregon and 7 years in San Diego, CA at La Mesa Spring Valley school district. She obtained a Masters in Elementary Curriculum in September of 1977.

She met Clarke in San Diego while she was teaching and he was on a business trip. Clarke Wilson POWERS and Shirley Ann MARTIN had the following children:
