FIFTH GENERATION

12. Henry ELLER (3)(4) (5) was born about 1724. He died in Dec 1793 in Washington County, Maryland. Henry Eller (we believe it is this Henry) arrived on the Neptune from Rotterdam took oath of allegiance in Pennsylvania Oct. 25, 1746. He is believed to be the brother of George Michael Eller.
They both acquired land called Hammond Strife on the waters of Little Pipe "Creek in Frederick Co., MD. They are also believed to have belonged to the Church of the Brethern, sometimes called "Dunkers" or "Dunkards". This sect is believed to have formed from the German Baptist Brethern which started in Germany and was brought to Germantown, PA. about 1719. This imformation comes from the book - George Michael Eller and Descendants of his in America, compiled by James W. Hook of New Haven, Conn. and published Oct. 15, 1957.
Benjamin Eller shows Henry as a son of Kaspar Eller (not Georg, as we show here). However, the strong evidence is that he is the brother of George Michael. No other research that I am aware of shows him in the Kaspar line. Since Henry was named co-executor of his brother, George Michael's will, executed on October 26, 1779 in Frederick County, Maryland, along with Michael Gerber, I show him as a son of Georg.
The most extensive information I've found to date on the Henry Eller line is available on Benjamin Eller's website at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~adelr/henry/index.htm.

He was married to Elizabeth BIGLER in 1750 in Frederick County, Maryland. Elizabeth BIGLER was born in 1735 in Maryland. She died about 1800 in Frederick County, Maryland.
