9. John Melchior ELLER ⁽¹⁾ was born about 1736. Melchoir arrived around 1746 and is believed to be the third oldest of the brothers/cousins. We have no arrival record for him. His name is sometimes shown as Melker or Melcher and it is believe he later used the name Michael.
We know for certain he is the brother of John Jacob Eller and the son of Kaspar.
Melchior is perhaps the least documented of the five immigrants. But Peggy Troutman (in February 1997, EFA Chronicles, XI:1) presented a list of four sons based on the 1790 Census. Hook listed a slightly different group of children.

He was married to Elizabeth Maria KETCHEY.
