FOURTH GENERATION

50. Jacob ELLER , III was born on 25 Dec 1789 in North Carolina (now Sullivan Co., TN). He died on 16 Oct 1847 in Boonville, MO. He was buried in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Boonville, MO. According to EFA historian Edith Lyle, Jacob Eller III was a soldier in the Revolutionary War, where he was known as "The Rascal."

He was married to Susanna MC CARTY (daughter of James MC CARTY and Elizabeth PRUITT) on 29 Sep 1810 in Buncombe Co., NC. Susanna MC CARTY was born on 31 Dec 1791 in North or South Carolina. She died on 28 Aug 1865 in Boonville, MO. She was buried in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Ora Kemper Ewing (Rt.1, Box 14, Bronough, MO 64728) says the birth/death dates should read 23 Dec 1791 and 18 Aug 1865. Jacob ELLER , III and Susanna MC CARTY had the following children:

117 iii. Jacob , Jr. ELLER was born on 8 Dec 1813. According to Edith D. Lyle (Eller Chronicles, Vol.I, #1, p.5), Jacob Eller Junior was not listed in his father's will (1847). No further records have been found. Ms. Lyle says, "Some years ago, an elderly relative in Cooper Co., told me there was a legend in the family that a son had left home and was never heard of again. If the tale is true, this Jacob would be the one as all others are accounted for."

119 v. Joseph ELLER was born on 13 Aug 1819. He died on 13 Aug 1821. He was buried in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Boonville, MO.
