SIXTH GENERATION

24. Peter Cock BAILEY was born on 9 Oct 1762 in Henrico County, Virginia. He died in Kentucky. Peter Cock Bailey entered service as a soldier in the Revolutionary war in Granville County, NC. He served under Cpt. William Gill, Jr. and Col. Thornton Yancey. In 1831, he was living in Mecklenburg County, Virginia, and moved to Montgomery County, Tenn.

He was married to Sarah BAKER (daughter of Zachariah BAKER and Jane UNK) on 27 Aug 1792. Sarah BAKER died on 23 Jan 1822. Peter Cock BAILEY and Sarah BAKER had the following children:

30 i. Otway Licepious BAILEY was born on 19 Sep 1794. He (or she) died on 23 Dec 1832.
31 ii. Richard O. BAILEY died in Feb 1802.
32 iii. Francis Baker BAILEY was born on 1 May 1796 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia. He died in Jan 1855 in Galla Rock, Pope County, Arkansas. According to C. Tennyson Bailey of Russellville, Arkansas, Francis Baker Bailey served as a "Justice of the Peace" in Virginia.
33 iv. Jane Brissie BAILEY was born on 3 Aug 1798.
34 v. James BAILEY was born in 1800. He died in 1805.
35 vi. Polly BAILEY was born in 1800. She died in 1805.
36 vii. Peter A. BAILEY was born in Apr 1802.
37 viii. John BAILEY was born on 10 Dec 1804. He died on 27 Jun 1809.
38 ix. William H. BAILEY was born in 1806. He died on 13 Oct 1835.
39 x. Richard Abraham BAILEY was born on 10 May 1811.
40 xi. Branch Giles BAILEY was born on 3 Feb 1812. He died on 5 Sep 1824.
41 xii. Elizabeth Mary Ann BAILEY was born on 18 May 1816. She died in Feb 1896.
